Internship Program

Description:    

Interns are involved in all areas of AUD’s work, and there is the possibility of tailoring internships to individual intern’s needs and interests.  Work involves research on specific international issues related to AUD’s mission, goals, and current projects.  In addition to general office and administrative work, students will have the possibility to choose their work concentration according to their interests.  Interns are considered to be part of AUD’s team.  They are encouraged to take initiative, work independently and explore renovative ideas to support AUD’s mission.

Objectives:

  • Introduce undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds to AUD’s mission promoting democracy and freedom;

  • Provide students with exposure to the work of a non-profit organization in an international environment;

  • Give students the opportunity to use their education and skills to the advancement of democracy and international integration.

Duties:

  • Assisting in developing AUD programs;

  • Database Maintenance;

  • Event Planning;

  • Newsletter Writing and Editing;

  • Specific Research on International Issues;

  • Administrative tasks

Requirements:

  •  This internship is open to university undergraduates preferably in their third or fourth year of study, or Master's candidates;

  • Demonstrated interest in international relations or a closely related field;

  • Excellent academic standing;

  • A good command of English;

  • Computer skills;

  • Foreign language skills are a plus.

Full time and part time internships are available during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.    

Benefits:

 AUD is ready to offer an academic credit for the internship experience. A small stipend is provided for the duration of the internship.

Deadlines:

  • Summer semester - April 15th

  • Fall semester - August 15th

  • Spring semester - December 15th
